"The Lost Room is stark noir, pulpy fiction, spiritual thriller, hero's-quest fantasy, and brainy videogame all at once. It's one of the most creative ideas to hit TV in a while."

Synopsis
The Fugitive meets The Twilight Zone in this contemporary sci-fi nail-biter. When Pittsburgh Police detective Joe Miller stumbles upon a seemingly innocuous motel room key, he unlocks the door to a world of unimaginable power and becomes the target of those who will stop at nothing to claim it. The Motel Room is a virtual treasure trove of mundane Objects. But each of the everyday items found in the room possesses its own obscure, sometimes marginal, sometimes formidable, power. Shadowy organizations called Cabals have formed to collect these mysterious Objects, engaged in a war to possess them all. Ultimately, the Cabals are divided over a single question: What happens when the Objects are reunited? Joe soon finds himself in the crosshairs of the Cabals as they each relentlessly pursue him, hoping to claim the Key, the most potent and coveted of all the Objects. When Joe's 8-year-old daughter Anna vanishes inside the Motel Room, he also becomes the focus of a heated police investigation. Hunted and alone, Joe has become the central player in a game to which he doesn't know the rules.
he Lost Room starred Peter Krause, Julianna Margulies, and Kevin Pollak. ÊIt was produced by Lionsgate Television and first aired on the Sci Fi Channel as a 6-hour miniseries in December of 2006. Reviews
"Forget the latest from J.J. Abrams. ÊThe six-part miniseries "The Lost Room" is a cult hit waiting to happen. ÊTen times more clever and a hundred times more stylish than fan-bait like "Fringe" and "Warehouse 13..."
