Christopher Leone & Laura Harkcom are a
Los Angeles-Based Writing-Directing-Producing Team.
Together, they co-wrote and co-executive produced the original Sci-Fi Channel miniseries "The Lost Room," which starred Peter Krause, Julianna Margulies, and Kevin Pollak. The 6-hour series garnered much critical praise, with The New York Times calling it "...a jackpot for a mystery series," and Entertainment Weekly citing it as "...one of the most creative ideas to hit TV in a while." The show, created by Harkcom, Leone and Paul Workman, was nominated for two Emmys and a Writers Guild Award in 2008.
Harkcom & Leone have also collaborated on screenplays for Columbia Pictures, Miramax Films, and Dimension Films, and on the award-winning short film "K-7." "K-7," which Leone wrote & directed and Harkcom produced, screened at over 60 film festivals, including Tribeca and SXSW. It won 12 awards and took top honors at Cinevegas and HBO's U.S. Comedy Arts Festival. The Austin Chronicle raved, "...Though it might seem overenthusiastic to recommend an entire program on the basis of one short, closer "K-7" would make sitting through two hours of C-SPAN worth it...The acting is note-perfect, the script tight, and the look as crisp as a Hollywood feature."
